What is the difference between a coil floor and a normal sprung floor like a gymnastic floor? What do athletes prefer to compete on?

I’m pretty sure the steel coil springs used in a cheer floor are the same as a gymnastics floor. However in saying that I believe gymnastics floors have 2 layers of matting. The other type of gymnastics floor uses high density foam blocks and gets rid of springs all together. For cheer purposes steel coil springs gives athletes more stability for stunts and jumps.

I am looking to source 2 dollamur flexi roll mats – 6′ x42′ x 2 1/4 ” – the highest density foam available. Second hand would be ideal. Please contact me by return message or email impactcheer@outlook.com or phone Rosalie – 0481758774
